Here’s the story of "artist"…I decided it would be awesome if I could handcut a piece of a Hambly design and use it as a mask on another Hambly paper. So, I painstakingly cut out a botanical element from a piece of PP and used it as a mask. And it didn’t work. I didn’t like the result…doh. But I liked the botanical piece that I had cut out (and it was now white from the gesso I used)…so I put it on a piece of cardstock, and created the LO above. The blue dotty stamp is from Stampotique. The pink around the edges is bias tape.
The sweet gal in the pic above is my niece. The tags just came to me, I did this whole LO in about 20 minutes. The silver around the pic is aluminum tape from Home Depot.
I love the LO above…it’s one of my faves. The copper scalloped strips are copper foil tape used for soldering.
The page above came together in about 20 mins, too. I altered the pic by scraping it with an awl and painting on it with gesso and watercolor crayons.
I got the idea in my little pea-brain to sew the overlay onto a big gap in the PP….thus this LO was born. Lots of bright colors here, but it works.
The rest of my LOs are in the "Hambly Guest Designer" photo album on the left…. 🙂
