The ugly truth of how I create art…working conditions…

I'm doing this post for my Art Journaling 103 class…kiwifarmer (from New Zealand, of course!) asked about how much space I work in.

Here's the ugly truth. Not much. lol! And yes, paint and ink get on EVERYTHING. When I got my new TV, my hubby asked if I was going to get paint on it. "Ooooh, noooo, I won't!!" I proclaimed. Um, yeah. Within a week I was scrubbing bright green dots of paint off the screen.

*shrugging* It's just how I am and how I work. I'm at peace with it. My right-brained self can get any more organized than this. In fact, I'm so at peace with it that I didn't even bother to straighten up my table when I took this pic. With me, what you see is what you get.

So, without further ado…my sewing machine. I love this thing. It's about 20 years old and it's a real workhorse. I've sewn through THREE layers of chipboard with this baby.

And, my messy desk. Trust me, it gets worse. But rarely better. My mat is warped from my encaustic iron. Oh well.

So there you have it, the ugly, inky, painty truth!
