Just a quickie. The journaling says, "oh, well, that is that." Still really enjoying Pam Carriker's awesome stamps!

Shadowy character…
Well, isn’t that special?
More Gelli Plate fun…
More Gelli Plate fun…did you see they now have a larger size? I think I neeeeed it! I've been printing with Amsterdam acrylic paints…they're deliciously thick and seem to not dry too fast on the plate. Plus they're so affordable.
Spent a great day at Crescendoh Studio with the awesome Jenny Doh…
What a great day….I taught a class about layering, and we made a canvas-bound journal. The artists in class were so fun. They "went there" with me, surrendered to the process, and made awesome, meaningful art. Always a thrill to witness art creation like that. I don't have a single picture (aargh), but here's Jenny's blog post about it.
More black gesso…
Another page with a black gesso undercoat. You can find my line of rubber stamps, including Lonely Girl that I used below, here.
Can you tell I was having a bad week last week?
I had a supremely bad week last week, for no good reason. I am feeling better now…I did this page during the midst of it all. I spilled too much black gesso on my desk, and to use it up I coated a bunch of pages with it. I love the way paint looks over black gesso. It seems more intense! I cut the circles from a painted & inked scrap of Claudine's Sticky Back Canvas that I had in my collage box.
Girl with empty eyes…
I decided to leave her eyes empty…she's creepy but I think it makes a statement. Lots of scribbles here, lots of gestural marks. I did the drawing with a Lyra Color Giant black pencil. I got hooked on this pencil when I took a Jesse Reno class at ArtFest. It's waxy and makes a nice dark mark over paint. It is *not* water-soluble like my beloved Stabilo All pencil. The Stabilo is still my favorite, but the Lyra pencil is fun for a change. I also used Neocolor IIs and a turquoise Stabilo Woody this page.
