Too much crud…

I have too much crud. Too much, I say! I am cleaning & purging my studio (notice the new, trendy word for stamp/scrap room). I got a new table in the "As Is" dept. at IKEA (thanks to some coaxing by Wendy). I love it…looks great. I have a new computer desk waiting to be assembled…I can’t wait to throw away this brown chipboard piece of junk. I’ve decided to purge my stamp collection by 75%. Yes, 75%. I have stamp sets, wheels (Rollagraph), ink pads & reinkers, idea books, and two wooden stamp pad holders to get rid of. The question is, do I ebay it all or do a garage sale? Decisions, decisions…

The best thing of all is that today I’m getting a new computer!! Yay! Better processor, more RAM (I’m a multi-tasker and always have lots of windows open), a Data-Safe hard drive…and most exciting of all, a 19" flat-panel monitor. I. AM. SO. STOKED.

My room won’t compare to those uber-rooms you see in the scrapbook mags…but it will work for me. Woo hoo!

Anyone wanna come help me dust & rearrange? I can pay you in stamps. *snort*

5 Reasons Why Today is Glorious…

1. He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…and with his stripes, we are healed.

2. Today is my brother Ja’s birthday. He’s talented as heck, funny, introspective, a beautiful soul. Happy birthday, Ja. I love you!

3. Mini Cadbury Eggs. Bags and bags full of ’em.

4. A blue, blue sky.

5. Ham, fingerling potatoes, strawberries & watermelon, veggies, homemade rolls.

Just some thoughts…

We picked a few new members today for the ScrapGal Design Team. The selection process is difficult for me because inherent in the process is the disappointment that the scrappers feel who aren’t picked. And I don’t like to be in a position where I disappoint people. It stinks.

I’m always so impressed by the number of people who apply to be on the Design Team. I look at and enjoy every layout. The selection process never comes down to who is the "best" scrapper. It always comes down to what style of scrapper that we’re looking for at this time to round out the DT. We’ve added some great, great scrappers to the DT (yay Marci, Brenda and Jody!). And we’ve had to say "thanks, maybe next time" to many, many more great scrappers. It’s the nature of the beast, I know. C’est la vie.

On to other subjects…

We had our Easter egg hunt this morning. My pics did not turn out well…guess I wasn’t in the mama-razzi mode today. I woke up tired.

Dereliction…

Yes, I am a blog derelict. Sorry about that. I’m still in a slight drug-induced haze, and right now just "being" is taking up all my time. There will be art next week, I promise. If there’s not, I may self-combust.

Check out the Advertising Slogan Generator. You put in a word, it gives you an advertising slogan. Try putting in your name…good for a few chuckles. My current slogans:
