Leticia’s Alphabetica journal…
It’s only money, right?
Would it be bad to order one of everything?
Michelle Ward’s new Wayward Collection is divine. I especially want "Painted Ladies." YUMMY!
Weekend art…
Bit o scrapping…
DT pages for ScrapGal…
Oh, and I arted yesterday in my art journal. I’ll post it tomorrow. Today my bones are tired and I just don’t wanna drag out my camera to take a pic.
Shopping fun…or, more fun with links…
Some Friday linkage:
- Broadway Paper. A fun paper store. Check out the flat gift wrap…too kewl.
- Think Geek. Gifts for the geek who has everything.
- Patina. How can you resist a store that has "Kitschy Kitchen" as a category? And I think I need the magnetic Haiku kit in "Desktop Diversions."
- Sommer Designs. I might actually cook more if I had that cute white toile apron to wear.
Some scrappin’:
Underneath it all…
A bit ‘o relief…
Had an appt. today for a follow-up mammogram which actually turned out to be a breast ultrasound. Had the first mammogram last week, and got a call from the radiology place and my OB/GYN that I needed to get back in for "more views." It’s kinda freaky to be in Target, hear your cell phone ring, and pick it up to hear your OB/GYN’s voice on the other end. Even freakier is talking to him about your boobs while you’re standing in line at the pharmacy. Anyway, today was the follow-up. I haven’t been too concerned, but when I got into the ultrasound room and saw the look in the two technician’s faces, I thought maybe I should have been worrying all along. (Incidentally, this is not what I was referring to in my last post, it is not the something that is bothering me.) They did the ultrasound and exclaimed, "There’s another one!" and "Wow, that one is huge!" and "She has so many!" Yeah. Uh. Not good for the ole runaway-expect-the-worst imagination. There’s good news, though. Turns out the lumps were lymph nodes. Why I have so many and such huge nodes on my left side I do not know, and I didn’t think to ask until I was eating a bean burrito in my van in the Taco Bell parking lot 10 minutes later. Doh.
Miscellania….
Crud, I’m tired. I haven’t been too productive the last couple of days. I’ve been down about something, something I can’t do anything about. So it’s a waste of my emotions, I know. But still, it’s hard and it’s silly and it’s something I’m railing against. I just need strenth to endure.
Stumbled across:
- Why Do You Do What You Do. A site where people send in self portraits, including a sign or text that answers the question, "Why do you do what you do?" Very intriguing. I’ve been thinking about this all week and really need to get my ideas down in my art journal.
- Rare Bird Finds. A fun site that highlights interesting and unique finds. Be sure & look through the archives.
- The Signals Catalog is always a good time waster. Plus proceeds go to support public television.
Hair angst and other musings…
Meaningless blog post #391. Hair angst. I have it. I broke up with my hairdresser a few weeks ago, so I’m a lost, wandering, bad-haired soul. Help. I need a good haircut.
I’m feeling unsettled today. I’ve done nothing creative all week. Here I sit blogging about bad hair and split ends because I really don’t want to face other realities. I’m jittery from aspartame and chocolate. I’m a jittery, bad-haired dork.
And uh, yeah, how’s your day going?
