Thursday…

We survived Halloween with no sugar-comas and only a few brawls. I barely remembered to take pictures as the kids were rushing out the door…yeah, I’m a good mom.

  • There are new stamps over at Catslife Press. I love this company!
  • PaperArtsy has a new collection called Urban Snapshots. Cool stuff.
  • This cork bracelet is interesting…you could be walking billboard. You could tack your shopping list right to your wrist…no digging around in that messy purse.
  • I have an art bird fetish lately, which is ironic since I lay in bed at night and dream of ways to murder the pigeons that live and poop all over my roof. I also caught a bird tap-tap-tapping on my laundry vent. Are you an annoying bird that wants to live on and/or destroy my home? Come right on over!

Change happens…

and this week I’m not taking it well. Sigh. I’m struggling with many things right now. I could blurt it all out but it would have to be cryptic for me to feel comfortable posting it, and well, what’s the fun in that. Unless you have a secret desire to decipher code. Nuh-unh.

Came across the trailer for the upcoming season of 24: Click Here to Watch It.

If there’s a sugar-sprinkle and non-pareil shortage at your grocery store it’s because we made sugar cookies the other night and managed to consume 70% of the U.S.’s sugar supply. Because I have no shame I ate 2 yesterday and 2 today (yes, there’s real butter in the cookies AND frosting). I still haven’t come down from the sugar buzz. Maybe that’s why I had the energy to mop my floor and clean my oven today. That’s it, I’ve found the solution for lethargy!

Weekend in review…

My goal this week is to a) do something creative every day and b) get off my lazy butt and dust.

On Saturday we took our family to a wonderful event…a Stake Humanitarian Service Day. There were dozens and dozens of projects to work on to help the needy around the world…making hats, quilts, sewing newborn layettes, coloring ABC books, making toys (stuffed bears, blocks, puppets), and the list could go on and on. What a great event, what a wonderful spirit there was in that room. I hope my boys always remember what it felt like to give of your time to help someone else.

This weekend was an online crop over at the best scrapping site on the net, ScrapGal. I did a few layouts…they are all lifts of the outgoing Design Team gals.

There are a couple more in my Scrapbook Pages album to the left.

The Tuesday that feels like a Monday…

I think I’m having two Mondays this week. Bummer.

Tried to make a 2-page scrapbook layout and failed miserably. I’m swearing off 2-pagers for the rest of my life. So let it be written, so let it be done.
