Those of you who have taken my<a href=\"http:\/\/www.debbiehodge.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Art Journaling 101 or 102 classes<\/a> know that I don&#39;t like to waste ink or paint. If I have extra paint on my palette, I put it on another surface to use later. Same with ink&#8230;if there&#39;s surplus ink on the stencil, I turn it over and press it somewhere. The results are typically unpredictable and deliciously grungy. <\/p>\n<p>I bought a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.misterart.com\/g9413\/Global-Art-Trav-e-logue-Journals.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">small bound journal<\/a> from Mister Art. It&#39;s about 5.5&quot; square and the pages are decently heavy. I started wiping my excess paint &amp; ink on its pages, and the result is a grungy, impulsive journal that has no real rhyme or reason. I&#39;ll wipe paint on top of paint, paint on top of ink, do whatever I feel. I don&#39;t stop &amp; think about it, I just do it. I don&#39;t worry that these pages aren&#39;t composed nicely because, well, they&#39;re just leftovers. The process is very freeing and sometimes serendipitous.
