All classes are $35.<a href=\"http:\/\/thecreativequest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, March 9th<br \/>10:30 &#8211; 1:30<br \/>Altered Portraits<br \/>Come &amp; learn<br \/>\nhow to alter portraits and photographs for inclusion in your<br \/>\njournaling.<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Students need to bring:<br \/>&#8211;Printouts of several<br \/>\nphotographs&#8211;enlarge them to fill a whole page, if possible. It&#39;s okay if<br \/>\nthey&#39;re black &amp; white, we&#39;ll be adding our own colors. You need to photocopy<br \/>\nthe photos or print them on a laser-printer&#8230;ink-jet copies will smear.<br \/>\nPhotographs of people work best, especially if the photograph is mostly a<br \/>\nportrait from the shoulders up.<br \/>&#8211;Portfolio Water Soluble Oil Pastels<br \/>\n(contact me if you need to know where to buy these)<br \/>&#8211;Also, students need to<br \/>\nbring standard art journaling supplies&#8211;acrylic paints, brushes in several<br \/>\nsizes, gesso, gel medium, pens for journaling.<br \/>&#8211;I will provide watercolor<br \/>\npaper to work on. If you&#39;d prefer to work in your personal art journal, please<br \/>\ndo!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, March 27th<br \/>2 &#8211; 5 pm<br \/>Introduction to Art<br \/>\nJournaling<br \/><\/strong>How to create a simple background, a silhouetted or masked<br \/>\nimage, and top texture. <br \/>Supply List (what students need)<br \/>&#8211;Acrylic<br \/>\npaint&#8230;bring an assortment of your favorite colors<br \/>&#8211;Gesso<br \/>&#8211;Gel medium<br \/>\nor adhesive<br \/>&#8211;Paintbrushes&#8230;I prefer a 3\/4&quot; or 1&quot; flat, but you can use your<br \/>\nfavorite<br \/>&#8211;A pen that will write on dried paint (regular Sharpie, poster pen<br \/>\nSharpie, Faber-Castell Pitt, etc.).<br \/>&#8211;Nice to Have: Favorite scraps of paper,<br \/>\nimages, photographs&#8230;any ephemera that&#39;s personal to you &amp; your life.
