Graffiti Of My

<\/strong>$40<\/p>\nCome and make a small themed journal based on the
\n"Graffiti of My Life"….the words, quotes, song lyrics, etc. that are
\nmeaningful to you. We'll be making free-flowing backgrounds, tipped-in
\ninclusions, and confined collages to decorate our journals.<\/p>\n<\/em>Supplies:
Standard Crafting tool kit (scissors, exacto
\nknife & small mat, paint brushes, pencil, etc.)
White acrylic
\ngesso
Gel medium (a must for this class….essential to one of the collage
\ntechniques)
Acrylic paint in your favorite colors
4 sheets of printed
\npaper, such as pages from an old book, sheet music, newspaper…anything
\nprinted.
A small collection of collage papers & fabrics that appeal to
\nyou. I will bring my standard box of papers, but your journal will be more
\npersonal if you use papers & fabrics that you like.
A pen that will write
\nover dried paint for journaling in the album.
I will bring my sewing machine
\nfor sewing, but you can bring a needle & embroidery floss for hand-sewing
\n(if you wish)
Quotes, song lyrics, sage words of advice….any text that is
\nmeaningful to you in your life. You can just bring a list so you can hand-write
\nit in your journal, and you can type it & print it and use the print-out in
\nyour journal.
I will be giving you a simple journal structure to work
\nin…but if you'd like to bring a new blank journal (around medium size, say 5"
\nx 9" or therabouts), you're welcome to.<\/p>\n

Finding Journal Inspiration in Great

<\/strong>$35<\/p>\nCome to class & get ready to play! We're going to
\nexplore some great art and let it affect and inspire our own journals. We'll
\ndiscuss and explore a variety of artists & their work, and we'll use their
\nwork as a jumping off point for our own journaling. We're not going to copy the
\nartists (if only!), but we'll try out some their colors, their brushstrokes, and
\neven their artistic visions.<\/p>\n
Supplies
Standard Crafting tool kit
