I am grateful for my country, for freedom, for blessings.<\/p>\n<p>This past weekend I had the privilege of taking a class from <a href=\"http:\/\/joyouslybecoming.typepad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Katie Kendrick<\/a>, one of my all-time fave mixed-media artists. The class was at <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.crescendoh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jenny Doh<\/a>&#39;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crescendoh.com\/studio_crescendoh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Studio CRESCENDoh <\/a>in Santa Ana, CA.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#39;t tell you how much I needed this class. How much I needed to fill my own cup, to paint and just see what happens. Thank you, Katie, for being a gentle soul and for helping me find pieces of myself again.<\/p>\n<p>I painted like a wild-woman&#8230;I started EIGHT (yes, eight!) journal pages and did six pieces on loose watercolor paper. Some of what I did, I love. Some of what I did I don&#39;t love. BUT, the process is what is important, not the finished product. And the process rocked the casbah. I&#39;ll share some of what I did over the next few days, if you don&#39;t mind.<\/p>\n<p>This was a quickie, on loose paper.
