Ranger Workshop with Dina

Join me for a weekend workshop at Ranger Headquarters!

We are going to create an altered book and fill it with lots of Dina Wakley Media goodness! Paint, collage sparks, transparencies, collage papers, typed ledgers…the works.

First, we will prepare the book and pre-stamp lots of imagery. Next, we will have a play day with lots of painting techniques. I will show you the ways that I like to combine neon paints and glosses to create interesting effects, and we will make artsy elements to go in our books. Finally, we will create finished pages in our books, keeping in mind composition principles and story telling.

Price is $630, which includes:

• Most supplies (see “please bring” for more info).
• Lunch daily.
• Dinner on Saturday evening.
• Snacks and drinks.
• Earplugs for Dina’s singing. (Ha, just kidding. Sort of.)

Schedule:

10 am to 5 pm, Friday, March 1: Introductions. Factory tour. Prepare book.

10 am to 5 pm, Saturday, March 2: Create collage elements with acrylic techniques, gel printing, fabrics, stamping, stenciling, and layering. Stay until 8 pm for dinner and studio play time.

10 am to 4 pm, Sunday, March 3: Fill the book with art and journaling. Tearful goodbyes.

Please Bring:

• A book to alter. It doesn’t have to be an old book, just a book you are willing to cut up, tear, and paint.
• A Tiny Attacher and staples, if you have one (optional).
