Ah, it's August. The Jenni Bowlin kits this month are full of fab colors and textures…corkboard and chalboard, anyone? So fun, cute, and trendy. I did a couple of scrapbook pages and a couple of journal pages.

I was teaching a mark-making class at The Occasional Artist last week, and I was talking about making marks with unusual implements. I unscrewed the lid off a bottle of Distress Paint and used the lid to draw this face. Fun how cool something will turn out when you least expect it!

Aw, stars. I love them almost as much as I love hearts. When my fellas were small, I would always tell them, "Be the star you are!" Stars are meaningful to me.

Alrighty, here’s another new stencil. Yay for Four Ferns! I think I’m going to keep one of these intact, and then get a second one to cut apart. Isn’t that a good idea? I love the way these look when they’re layered together.
