A self-portrait…
A self-portrait.
I love the sumi-ink mark. It just flows and is so dynamic. I didn't want to obscure it in any way, so I created the rest of the page around the mark.
This comment is from Marcy R:
I agree with what everyone is saying about the "Facing the Facts" class
-it's great. I have looked at Dina's blog pg for several months and
have tried to do what she does – some better than others, but after
taking this class it all starts to make sense and I feel like my faces
will just continue to improve. Now I have the groundwork that I can
understand. I love the easy style that Dina has – would love to take a
live workshop with her but this allows me the pleasure to feel that
every time I watch the videos. Don't hesitate – give yourself an early
Christmas present.
Thanks so much, Marcy!
There's some cool art being schared over in the FB group. Join us!
I started doing this one over because the face I drew on it didn't work at all. I painted over the drawing and the Stabilo All pencil blurred into the paint.
After I painted over it, I could see a person. And it seemed like she has a story. So I let it be.
I'm super excited and honored to be teaching at Art Journaling Live on Saturday, October 26th, 2013.
You'll get FOUR great classes, and all supplies are included. Yep! Included!
Who is going to teach with me? Oh, just a few people you may know…
I'm in good company, eh? They're all the best!

See you in NC!
Can you tell what song I've been listening to (a lot)? 🙂
Done in my Dylusions journal.
Acrylic paint goodness.
Some collage, too.
Some painted deli papers.
Pink spray paint through that Jenni Bowlin Studios star stencil.
Still love artsy birdies. Some info about this one:
Done in my Dylusions journal.
Bird is composed of my painted deli papers.
Drawn with the Stabilo All pencil.
Star stencil is the stencil from the Sept Jenni Bowlin Studios kit.
When I first started art journaling, I did lots of collage. Then I moved to stenciling and masking, then drawing. I'm rediscovering collage and having SO much fun doing it.
