I love drawing over imperfect backgrounds. The drawing seems to unify all the diverse layers. This background was just a mop-up page, wasn't really even a composed background at all. It works with the drawing, though, doesn't it?

Oooh, I love a bit of color pop on a journal page.

I've been using Tim's awesome Found Relatives in one of my classes. It's so fun to funkify them!! They really make me smile. I love the juxtoposition of the vintage image with my bright color palette.
