Messages of encouragement…

Lately the words that are showing up on my journal pages are messages of encouragement. Words we all need to hear, really. It's what I want to say to those I love the very most.

Sharing my quote challenge page.

On my Art of Dina Wakley Facebook page, I challenged everyone to create a page this weekend with a moving or powerful quote. I used this one by Tyler Knott Gregson:

Tyler

I started my page with gesso (duh, of course) and added Sky and BlackBerry Violet paints. I glued on a piece of a project I created back in 2009 (found it in my collage box). I drew the woman with a Stabilo All pencil, and added some details and color with Neocolor II crayons. I wrote the quote with the Stabilo. I look forward to seeing your pages.

On a personal note…if you left an encouraging comment or sent me an email after the "apology" post, thank you. I did read and appreciate them all. There is a saying a friend shared with me, it is "A mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child." So true. We're still fighting the good fight here. Hope you are, too.
