Made this funky, puffy, stamped fabric thingey.Go check out all the art!
Actually, it went live a few days ago, I'm just running behind. Go check out all the designers' work!
This morning I was whining that I live in a state with no weather.
Look what happened this afternoon….spiky golf-ball sized hail. Booyah.

I'm jealous of all you people who have Fall weather. I mean real Fall…crisp temperatures, crackling leaves. My boys asked me if it's really true that leaves change color…isn't that sad? That's what happens when you're born & bred in AZ, I guess. I always get itchy feet this time of year…I get ancy and I just want to get out of town and go somewhere that has real weather. Seasons. Clouds. That wet stuff that falls from the sky, what's that called? Oh yeah, rain.
Here's CJ…hair standing up courtesy of sweat and playground sand. Ew. It's October, people. October.
I've been swamped with teaching and assignments that I can't share (yet)…what have you been working on?
Come and join us at Masterful Scrapbook Design in October as we explore layering in our scrapbooks! Masterful Scrapbook Design is the brainchild of the awesome Debbie Hodge…and for only $10 a month you get access to layouts, instruction, audio interviews, and more. Debbie said, "In October, we concentrate on the art of layering – looking at the possibilities and the impact, the meaning you can convey and, even discover in the process of creation." Sounds fun, yeah? I'm honored to be a part of it!
The teachers for October are me, Debbie Hodge, Lisa Dickinson, and Amber Ries.
Can you tell that's my eyeball? lol I'm still painting faces, with mixed results. The face below turned out sorta scary…it's in the proportions, the eyes are ginormous. But I just let it be. I don't fuss over pages that aren't working. I just say, "eh" and turn the page. They'll make more paper…there's always another fresh, blank sheet to work on. It's okay to fail, they can't all be masterpieces. From the failures come artistic growth…and I love that.
This layout was scraplifted by the gals over at "Art-Piaskownica." You must go there & see their interpretations…they are all much better than my original page! Very inspiring.
Did you see Danielle's new Kitschy Digitals kit, "Braided"? Um, yeah, you need it. As always, my layouts are hybrid…I print out the images, cut 'em out, and use 'em on the page.
Isn't it cool how it looks like there's fabric on my page….but it's the digital element printed out on cardstock? Love it.
