Art created in response to my bad day…
I had a bad day. So I did two out of three of my comfort behaviors: created art and made cinnamon rolls (carbs, carbs, glorious carbs). Now I just need to go shopping and I'll have the trifecta.

Congrats! Email me your info and I'll forward it on to JBS! Thanks for all the comments, everyone!
I'm getting a big kick out of painting over fashion model's faces…lol. Is it considered defacement? heh.
I'm happy to be participating in the Sizzix Blog Hop! Sixty designers will post projects every Thursday, starting today! You can click on the Blog Hop button on the right to jump to the different designers' blogs. Or, this post lists all the designers, too.

Sizzix Scoreboards Pro Die – 3-D House by Eileen Hull
You guys know I don't really do "cute" stuff. What is ironic is I actually love cute stuff…especially Japanese Kawaii…but my art tends to be on the more grungy side. I call this little project, "The House that Art Built." I didn't use the little extended door portion of the die because I liked the way my sewn doors and windows looked without it.
The little girl stamp is from Stampotique.
Working on a funky face page. Not going to paint this one, just going to let the strong outline be against the bold background.
[Remember to comment on the JBS post below for your chance to win the prize package!]
Ready for some giveaways? Check the JBS Inspiration Blog for a list of all the participating designers!
On each participating blog, JBS will give away: a set of our new Red/Black Extension III (12×12 papers, diecut, mini papers, journaling cards), 1 (random – vintage, polka dot, calendar) new diecut pad, and 1 (random – calendar multi, calendar black, thanksgiving) new mini bingo card set.
Don't forget that JBS Ranger paint dabbers, ink pads, and re-inkers are now available for purchase in the general store.
To be entered into a random drawing to win the prize from MY blog, just post a comment! 🙂 I'll draw a winner on Friday!
I got to experiment with TH's Halloween embossing folders…I love them! They give such great texture and dimension. To make the design really pop, I just grabbed an ink pad and lightly rubbed it over the design. I made an art journal page, a tag, and a scrapbook page. I used Tim's Rosette Die on the scrapbook page…love it!
Class started on Monday and we're having so much fun! In the past, we kept registration open indefinitely, but now registration closes a few days after the start of class. So, if you want to take Art Journaling 103, you need to sign up by tomorrow, Thursday Oct 28!!
Ya know, I'm going to give away two spots! Yay! And the winners are…(Random Number Generator said 64 and 84).
OmG…gotta get in on this one. I LOVE your classes Dina. I'm the one in the corner wishing very quietly to win the magic ticket that gets me in the door.
