Congrats, Cindy!! Email me and I'll pass your info onto Lisa.
This week we're using Karen Burniston's Pop Up Gift Card Holder. Super cute & clever. But, I have a confession. I had an idea and when I started creating, it turned into a holy mess. Not willing to admit defeat, I tore it apart and used the parts to make this scrapbook page.
Be sure to click on the links in the blinkie to follow the ring through the designer's blogs. Or, start here at the main Sizzix post.
**Note–this class was rescheduled from December**

Art Journaling: Sketching Over Layers
In this class we'll create layered backgrounds and then use sketching techniques to add imagery and visual interest. No drawing experience required! I will show you some tricks I use for sketching. We'll play and make several pages with the process.
Supplies:
Your art journal (I will have watercolor paper if you prefer to work on that)
All your art journaling supplies (acrylic paints, gesso, pens for writing)
Gel medium
Papers & ephemera & images that appeal to you (just a small assortment of papers, I'll have my box, too)
Pencil
Any photographs that you want to draw onto your pages…these could be a face, a building, a flower, etc. Please bring the photos printed on PLAIN paper, and printed to the exact size you will want them in your work.
See you in class!!!

Some inky tags I made while playing with the new & improved Tim Holtz Adirondack Color Wash Inks. I also used some of Claudine's new foam stamps…love that circle!!
Tim recently disbanded his DT, so these are my last projects. I can honestly say it was a pleasure to be on Tim's DT, and I will continue to be a huge fan of his! Thanks, Tim, for having me on your team!
This project is an inky tag book. I used Tim's Adirondack Color Wash inks, as well as many of his stamps.
This project is a small Christmas mini…I made it to throw in my purse & jot things down about the season that I want to remember. It's about 3"x4", and full of tags, scraps of watercolor paper, and sewing tissue. I decorated it with Tim's Seasonal Salvage stickers, and used the Mustard Seed Distress Pad to add some inking. Don't you love those Trinket Pins, too?
I tell ya, I was thinking for awhile that I had forgotten how to scrapbook. Then I got the December JBS kit & add-on. I was on fire, I tell ya. On fire.
I'm slightly obsessed lately with lots and lots of grungy layers, lots and lots of texture…
This one is drying…will be fun to see what happens next.
This week we use Eileen's ScoreBoard Pro Die Frame & Frame Back with Stand. Super versatile, lots of possibilities! Click on the blinkie links on the left to hop through all the blogs. If you click on the middle of the blinkie, you'll go to a main list of all the designers in the hop.
Some of you know I have a small fetish for frames…so I used the scalloped frame from the die as a mask to create three frames on my page. I sprayed over the frame with Sailboat Blue Adirondack Color Wash ink. I added some Butterscotch ink around the outside of the page and went over it with a wet brush so I could dissolve the ink and make it watercolor-y.
Ohhhh, I want desperately to take this course! Sounds like something I could handle with a my crafty fingers and mind. 😀
