I'm honored to be teaching at the Revolution event in the Netherlands this coming March. Here are a few sneaks of my class projects! We'll be using lots of spray ink, paint, gel, and modeling paste. Fun! Visit the blog & sign up…can't wait to make art with you. Plus, Revlie just announced you can buy individual classes instead of entire days.
I adore Julie and her stencils from The Crafter's Workshop are fab, fab! I was given the Triangle stencil…and once I got started, I couldn't stop! I made lots of art journal pages (even more than I'm showing…you'll probably spot the triangle stencil on more pages in the coming week). Here's the stencil…you can get it in a 12×12 and 6×6 size. I have both & love 'em both.
I used my Stampington stamps on this page. This one looks like a paint store exploded onto my art journal, but hey, that's how I roll:
I cut a picture from a magazine & painted over it to make the figure for this page spread:
This one is grungy…I had blotted the triangle stencil after using it on another page. This is how it ended up:
Be sure to "hop" along to these fab blogs for inspiration!
I feel privileged to be part of "21 Secrets"…yay! Read all about it here–I'm in great company, the other artists are amazing.
Here's how Connie describes the workshop…"21 SECRETS is an annual online, self guided, Art Journaling workshop that runs for a total of nine months where Art Journalers receive the opportunity to dive into different techniques, methods, and approaches to Art Journaling from a family of diverse, passionate, professional Artists. Each participant is able to choose which order of the 21 classes they take and have an active online community to share and grow with. All information including, pdf's, videos, and supportive text and photos are always available and teachers are present in a timely fashion to answer questions and share their comments."
I had a big piece of "leftover" art from another project that I cut up. I thought it looked fun, so I glued it right onto a journal page, and then just wrote around it. Easy & quick!
Have I mentioned lately how much I adore Jenni Bowlin? She's seriously one of the nicest people in the whole industry. Click here to see her November Kit options…fun stuff! Click here to see the DT galleries. Click here to join in the message boards.
Love this dark silhouette, it looks cool against the color in the background.
I started making this while I was demo-ing during one of my classes at The Inkpad in NYC. I finished it yesterday to send to a friend…I love stamps, paint, ink, beeswax…fun!
and I hadn't done it in awhile (layering with black spray paint…I teach it in Art Journaling 103: Composition and Color for Art Journalers). This page is a grungy mess…just how I like it.
