A few years ago I made a journal called, "Words from Mom." It contains advice from me to my fellas. I've noticed some of these pages get pinned on Pinterest pretty regularly. I thought it would be fun to look at it again…here are a few of my faves from it.

Sharing my Maya Road DT canvas….
Here's the canvas I made for the Maya Road booth (for the summer CHA trade show). I didn't use pink…shocker! I did use red, though. heh.
Come and take a gander at Kelley’s “One January Day…”
Kelley was an extremely brave soul this past weekend at My Heart's Fancy and took all four of my classes! Here's her blog write-up…isn't her work just fab? On her encaustic book she used some stamps that her daughter carved, and some that she carved (look for the little girl and the cat). I told her she should get them produced, I would totally buy them. Thanks, Kelley, for making art with me all weekend! You rock!

Take a gander at Kory’s SCRAPiVERSE…
Kory took my Encaustic Tag Book class today in Oklahoma City, and he already has a blog post up about it! Go take a look at his fab book. My favorite thing about it is that he took the sheet of quotes and mixed them up so that they're funky and spunky and cool. Kory, I might have to steal that from ya. But I'll give you credit. Because I'm nice like that. And I'm soooo glad you now know that you can get burned from a hot iron (snort). I'm a giving teacher like that, I share my knowledge of those important details.
Here's a picture of Kory's book I shamelessly ripped off his blog:
If you took my class & have a blog post about it, let me know. I'll link ya up!
Indulging in a few more Peru pics…
I don't generally post much personal stuff here, but a few people have asked me about Peru & Machu Picchu pictures, so I thought I'd post a couple more. Our trip to Peru was truly a wonderful, life-changing experience. If you get a chance to go, DO IT!
