Girl in the ledger…
I think I'm finally figuring out how to mix better skin tones. Whew. I do love to use funky colors on faces, but sometimes I need a good regular skintone…kwim?

I'm teaching my Encaustic Tag Book at In a Pear Tree, in Casa Grande, AZ. Saturday, August 18th, 1 pm. We'll have lots of inky, waxy fun! Contact the store to sign up.
I'm obsessed with drawing lately. I'm still struggling with it, still trying to improve. I love it, though. The girls in this thread look sort of like aliens to me…maybe it's their lack of hair?
Here are the links I have for week 1…enjoy!
Maura's altered box (using my stamp, yay!)
Did I miss your link? Just comment here & I will add ya.
I think this little gal in my ledger looks so sad. Maybe it's because I painted her face those crazy pink colors, heh heh. She does look strange…
A scribbly page in the Dylusions journal. I tell ya, scribbling is seriously good for the soul. So therapeutic! Scribble something…try it. You'll feel better.
It's time for week 1 of our August "Out of the Journal" challenge. If you have a piece of art to share, post a comment with the link. I'll amend this post & add the links to it so we can all ooh and aah over your creations!
This is 9×12…a basic face, which is what I seem to be obsessed with lately.
Link me up to your art!
You can't go wrong with Jenni's wonderful kits. This month's kit includes a cool stamp and an exclusive stencil. I got ahold of that stencil and had a blast…you will love it! I made layouts and an art journal page. Be sure to check out the DT gallery for lots of inspiration!
This page (in the Dylusions journal) makes me laugh…it's about how I've been feeling overwhelmed
lately. I've been crazy busy, and it is starting to take its toll. It's turning me into a zombie. Do you ever feel like that? Sigh.
