My checks…

This week my doorbell rang, and a man smiled and handed me a beautiful vase of flowers. They were from Check Advantage…how sweet is that? My oldest son just got a checking account…I told him he could order my checks. He asked me if I designed any "manly" ones…heh.

How can it be March?

How can it be March? Didn't we just have Christmas? Amazing how fast time is going.

Here's a rough painting in my journal. Materials used:

  • Dylusions Creative Journal by Ranger.
  • Acrylic paint
  • Stabilo Marks All pencil
  • Gesso
  • Neocolor II crayons

That's what's on the top layer, at least. There are TWO pages under this that I ended up painting over. Sometimes that's how it goes, right?

Lesson from my fella…

My oldest fella (who's a senior this year, waaaa) plays the French horn in the marching band. As the horn section leader, he instituted a mantra that served them well: stand above the crowd. I'm proud of him for that.

Stand out…rise above.
