Playing, experimenting. Dyan said, "Look what you can do when you're not playing Candy Crush!" Heh. Kinda in love with these pages.

This is the back of my current Dylusions journal. I was using it as a palette (I tend to put paint anywhere around me when I need to). When I was done, I had a big blob of black paint sitting there. I took a brush and spread out the paint into this quick painting. Now I kinda love it!
My lovely and talented and beautiful friend Dyan turned 50 last month, and we celebrated by gathering at a little cottage in Yorkshire.
We laughed, journaled, ate food, and laughed some more.
Joyous. I wish we could do it every month.
Well, the last few weeks have gone by in a whirlwind. I was blessed to teach at Papirfest in Stavanger, Norway, Art From the Heart in Harrogate, England, and De Craftorij in Ede, Holland. I was home for 2 days and then left again to teach at Donna Downey Studios in North Carolina.
I love teaching. I love sharing what I do. I hope that comes through when you take a class with me. The artists in my classes have been truly fabulous! It's a privilege to watch them learn and create art.
I'm rubbish at teaching and taking pictures at the same time…so if you have any pictures of any of these events, email me and I'll post a few of them!
My hubs and fellas met me in the UK for a a few days. England has something we don't have here in Phoenix, and that is called weather! ha. Mother Nature still thought it was winter time, so we had lots of cold temps and snow. That didn't dampen our fun, though! Our friends, dismayed at our Arizona clothing, loaned us fleeces to go under our jackets. And we had to buy wellies to keep out the slush and snow.
Here's a fun comparison. I took this first photo in 2007:
Now this year, 2013:
How time flies! A few other pics:
I love being with my family. They rock.
Hi, friends…
I'm taking a long-weekend-blog-break…back on Monday with more inspiration! I've got some new pages to show to you, and I need to report on my trip to Norway, England, and Holland. See ya Monday!
I'm one of the teachers for Life Book 2013…join us!
This was a demo page from CHA, and oh my, it became a hot mess because I could not get my white pen to work. So I called it like I saw it…heh.
