What’s new?

Heya, friends, what's new?

I've got a new white apron. I'm sure it will stay pristinely white forever. heh.

I've got a new easel…in the space where my fellas' computer used to be. There's SO much more room in here now that I've rearranged things. HUGE thanks to Shannon for helping! Really the room needs to be gutted, painted, carpet pulled out & concrete floor sealed…but I don't have time for that. So Shannon helped me rearrange and purge. I also have new computer desk…it all works much better and I think I threw away 8 big black bags full of crap.

Can you tell I have a HUGE to-do list and I'm procrastinating? Aack!

Still playing at 100 faces…

I'm not keeping count at all…typical of me. If it involves numbers, I don't do it.

As a reminder…I'm doing lots of these faces in Art Doodle Love by Dawn Sokol. It's a fun little book with preprinted backgrounds and prompts to give you a jumpstart. It's really fun to draw on the pages.

I Spy Some New Dina Wakley Stencils!

Here's a peek of my new stencils, releasing next week at Summer CHA with The Crafter's Workshop. I have seven new designs:

  • Chevron Tiles
  • Four Ferns
  • Grungy Heart
  • Halftone Borders
  • Halftone Circles
  • Star Fall
  • Striped Leaves

Do you think you can figure out which one is which from these peeks? For my samples I made scrapbook pages, art journal pages, and gelatin prints. I used Dylusions ink sprays, acrylic paints, modeling paste, and spray paint. Fun! I'll be back to share full projects during CHA week.

She's eye-less for now. She might stay that way. Did this right before we packed up after the two-day class.

Another journal page from the weekend…

Still working on it, I think…if I ever get back to it, that is. It is interesting to me how powerful simple shapes can be.

I know she’s creepy…

I know she's creepy, but I wanted one of her eyes to reflect the flowing words on the left. On loose paper, again from the weekend class.
