Another page I did with Pam's new stamps…drawn with Neocolor II crayons and the Stabilo All pencil.

This is a page I did while teaching my layering class. Lots of grungy layers and goodness here.

Letting it spill…

I'm honored to be part of the blog hop for Pam Carriker's lovely new stamps. Pam is a great artist and a lovely person…I know you are going to really enjoy her new stamp designs.

I got to play with Punchinella Honeycomb and I Will Soar.

To make the piece above:

1. Start with a watercolor paper and give it a coat of gesso.

2. Use gel medium to glue down a text-paper river.

3. Scrape on some Indian Yellow Hue paint and use a baby wipe to rub through a honeycomb stencil to remove some of the stenciling.

4. Add some Payne's Grey paint with a scraper, as well.

5. Stamp the Punchinella stamp with Archival pink ink.

6. Stamp the wings on cardstock and cut them out.

7. Draw a simple figure on the background with a Stabilo All pencil. Include journaling!

8. Glue the wings on the figure.

9. Use a blue Neocolor II crayon to add a color around the figure.

Lately I can't get enough of the Tim Holtz water brush filled with Dylusions Black Marble ink spray. So fun to draw with!

This isn't the best-drawn face, but I did it during a class I was teaching where we were talking about how to incorporate drawings/portraits into finished pages and mixed-media pieces.

This one turned out funny. Oh well!

I've been using this little gal on a bunch of different pieces. Just love her!
