Things I need…
I should be cleaning or laundrying (hey, I made a new verb!) or showering or erranding (look, I did it again!), but instead I’m browsing the internet for things I need. Yes, need.
- The Random Dawdle Pad from Patina.
- These Tokyo Boots from Karmaloop. Yes, I know I’m 38 and I know I live in the desert…but I still need them.
- Bird on a Branch vinyl wall stickers from Lekker. I don’t have a place to put ’em but I need ’em.
- One of every kind of journal that Nantaka Joy makes. There probably aren’t enough thoughts in my head to fill up all those journals, but you know how I love a good blank book.

Tagged again…
That "7 weird things" tag is making its bloggage rounds again…and I’ve been tagged twice, once by Celeste and once by Mye. I thought I’d refresh your memory to the other times I’ve done this tag…
Then there was This Post…
So…armed with all of that random/weird knowledge, here are "7 Weird Things About Me, version 6.0."
- I saw Marie Osmond in the grocery store in Orem, Utah once. She was buying fruit snacks. Her hair was very big. Hey, it was the early 90s.
- I own a wheat grinder. And I know how to use it.
- I spent over $7000 at Target over the course of a year. P.S. Quicken graph charts are evil. P.P.S. I don’t spend quite that much there anymore. Darn budget.
- I read really fast.
- I have never once in my life balanced a checkbook.
- I’ve had stitches on my upper lip.
- I’m really good with numchucks.
P.S…one of those 7 things isn’t true. Can you guess which one? heh.

Why oh why do smoke alarms only freak out in the middle of the night? All of ours had a party last night (for the 3rd time in 6 months) at 2:30 a.m thanks to hard-wiring….and we had no idea which one had the low battery because we didn’t hear any of them chirping. After 1 middle-of-the-night trip to Walgreens and 5 batteries later, we had peace. Then I could not go back to sleep. I started worrying about everything. And my ears hurt (seriously, physically hurt…those smoke alarms are LOUD).
And now, here’s for the shocker. I got up & showered this morning…did not go back to bed despite the temptation. I have too much to do. So I had an Excedrin and a Yoplait for breakfast, and I’m ready to go.
Sort of. I think there’s more Excedrin in my future today.
