Made this page w/ one of the scraps from my gift-packaging project that I posted a couple of weeks ago.

Rev it Up!!
I am so honored to be featured on the Rev It Up blog today…to even be considered worthy to be in the company of the other great artists they featured is a true thrill!! Thanks Maria for interviewing me and highlighting my work! 🙂
Visual journaling…
Tempting…
This picture almost makes me want to get a kitten…
Oh…wait…nope…the feeling has passed. Still, isn’t that the cutest kitten ever? [Found via Cute Overload.]
April’s Poppy…
Finally getting around to putting up April’s Poppy work…
Just a note about the "Happy" layout above. I did the layout, thought I was pretty cool stuff for cutting out the pennants from the Daisy D’s PP and putting them on the other PP. Then I’m browsing some of my fave blogs and discover that I had must have subconsciously scraplifted that idea from another fabulous scrapper! I panicked and emailed her and profusely apologized…I’m sure I saw her LO on SIS, and I certainly didn’t purposely scraplift her. She was so kind and gracious and said that I could go ahead and post the layout…thanks, kb, you rock.
Pencil Lines…
I got the privilege of being the guest designer over at Pencil Lines this week…a true honor! This is my layout…
A little gift packaging…
Tomorrow my little docent group is having a luncheon with our consultants who have helped us and cheered us and encouraged us along all year long. The group chipped in and got them a couple of gifts, and I volunteered to package them. I made boxes out of kraft cardstock. Then I painted a long piece of red rosin paper (a construction supply) with any variety of paint…it’s pretty much a mess, but that’s what makes it fun. Then I cut up the bigger piece to make the two box-wraps that you see on the packages below.
The really fun part is that after you cut up the big piece, you end up with fun scraps you can use later!
Less of me to love…
So, there’s a little bit less of me to love….12.4 lbs, to be exact. I’ve been doing WW for the past 9 weeks, and it’s going well. I hesitate to put that out into the blog-o-sphere because frankly, it’s not fun to be accountable to total strangers about dieting (or lack thereof), and you always know that there’s that whole embarrassing and inevitable "falling of the bandwagon" incident that’s to come. Sigh. But still, I mention this because it will help you understand why I’ve been snooping around You Tube and mocking chuckling at various old Jazzercise videos. In theory I’m getting motivated to start exercising better, but in reality I’m just sitting on my derriere staring at a computer screen. Hey, I figure I’m burning a few calories by laughing at hip-high leotard leg holes and the overly-peppy jazz hands. Then I came across this gem, which seems to be about all the exercise I can handle at the moment…
There’s paint under my fingernails…
Two crop quickies…
I’ve decided I’m better at "solitary" scrapping than "crop" scrapping. It’s hard for my mojo to flow at crops.
Here’s the whole Amelie project. The goal was to create something like the memory box that Amelie discovers in the movie. Since I don’t alter things (I’m not good at it and I don’t enjoy it), I created a memory box on a layout…sorta. I sewed different elements into a slide sheet protector, and then just created the page. It’s supposed to be messy and eclectic.
