Happy (early) Friday…
Happy Friday! This is celebration weekend…we are celebrating the opening of kl's fab kit club, Kenner Road (kits go up for sale at 12:00 a.m. EST on Sept 15th). To kick off the kit club, the whole Creative Team is giving away some prizes! I am giving away a Scenic Route Paper Pack…their new Sonoma line!
For a chance to win, I want you to tell me a story. On your blog or on a message board somewhere, tell me about the street you grew up on (this ideas was inspired by Kenner Road, since that is the street that kl grew up on). Then leave me a comment w/ a link to your post. If you mention why are are telling your story (i.e. this contest), I'll put your name in the hat twice. On Sunday evening, I'll draw the winner! 🙂
And just for a little teaser, here's a peek of a project I did with Kenner Road's first add-on kit…
Be sure to check the blogs of the other K.R. Creative Team members this weekend for their prize giveaways!

My art journaling class is now open for registrations…yay! 🙂
Also, there's a great digi-scrapping class, "Digital Templates," starting Tuesday at Get it Scrapped...Pattie Knox is the teacher. This is the class description:
intimidated by the blank screen in front of you? Or perhaps you're a
seasoned digi scrapper looking for a quick and easy way to get that
backlog of photos into your albums? Digital templates are the solution!
Pattie's detailed lessons come with 6 layered page templates, 2 shaped
text templates, and 5 complete page kits by designers at Designer
Digitals with paper, alphas & embellies that will combine for
hundreds of layout possibilities. No previous Photoshop experience
necessary!
And get this…I have one free pass to Pattie's digital class to give away! Woot! To win, just post a comment…I'll draw a name Sunday night. If you're already registered for Pattie's class, you can use the pass for another class at Get it Scrapped.
Just sharing some old LOs…
Did this for the magazine last Jan but they didn't make it in…thought I'd share 'em! 🙂 Both use lots & lots of spray ink. I often get questions about what spray ink I use. I primarily use the Tim Holtz Adirondack Color Wash inks..the colors are vivid and really rich. I also use Glimmer Mist when I want a more subdued color.
Come and art with me!
I met the immensely talented and nice scrapper, author, and online-class website "Get it Scrapped" owner Debbie Hodge at CHA this summer. She invited me to teach an art journaling class on her fab website, and I am so excited!
The class is Art Journaling 101…we will be exploring how you combine journaling with art to create a personal and expressive art journal. This is a beginning class in art journaling…we'll start with the blank page and then learn, line-upon-line, how to build a page. The class runs Oct 20th through Nov 17th, and it's $25. If you're at all interested, check her website…registration opens soon!
Some layouts…(picture heavy)
Went to a crop with some fab girls (Erin B and Heather and Angie and Julie), and did five pages in the first hour or two, and then fizzled out. I had a blast…it's always good when you combine scrapping with awesome people and lots of laughs. And yes, I know I'm crazy in love with my sewing machine, and I'm crazy in love with spray inks. If loving sewing & spray inks is wrong, I don't want to be right. heh.
i would love to win a spot in the class!
