The battle is still being waged between art journaling and my scrapping assignments…
and apparently art journaling is still winning.

This picture of a cool graffiti wall in Stavanger, Norway just cried out to be put on a painty and grungy layout…fun.
I sat down to do a couple of assignments today, and ended up art journaling instead. Oopsie.
I am honored to be Scrapbook Kit Club's guest designer this month. The December kit is so festive, full of really wonderful holiday papers and embellishments…even a tube of paint! You could easily do 6 to 8 layouts with the kit. Kits go up for sale Dec 1st.
I did this piece during the demonstration for my "Art Journaling Layering Tool Kit" class yesterday (held at Creative Quest in downtown Glendale). The students who have been taking my classes are amazing…I feel like they teach me more than I teach them. It's so inspiring to see what they do in class! Anyway, here is my huge piece…it must have about 20 layers. The point of the class is to push beyond your comfort zone when it comes to layers, to experiment, to play. It's so much fun!
I've been playing with some cool Jenni Bowlin stuff…here are a few peeks.
These two layouts are done with Danielle Thompson's awesome Kitschy Digitals digital elements…I just print 'em out and cut 'em out. Some of the feathers came from the pre-printed sheets you can buy in her shop, too…easy peasy.
These pages are a tribute to my friend Lisa Mitchell...I appreciate her support and generosity and talent so much.
Oh, Hambly is just so inspiring. People often tell me they are scared to cut into their Hambly papers. I say cut them up, use them! Hambly will make more, I promise. 🙂
Have you seen the Kenner Road November gallery yet? Soooo much inspiration there, be sure to check it out!
