Saturday’s Class at Creative Quest in downtown Glendale…

On Saturday at Creative Quest  I am repeating the altered portraits class. It's all about altering
photographs…taking photographs of you or someone you love and using
Portfolio Oil Pastels and acrylic paint to give them a new, unique
look…like this:

If
you have questions, let me know! 🙂 You contact Creative Quest to sign up at 623.847.2215.

Saturday, April 17th
10:30
– 1:30
Altered Portraits, $35
Come & learn
how to alter portraits and photographs for inclusion in your
journaling.

Students need to bring:
–Printouts of several
photographs–enlarge them to fill a whole page, if possible. It's best if the portrait is from the shoulders up, so most of the page is filled with the face. It's okay
if
they're black & white, we'll be adding our own colors. You need to
photocopy
the photos or print them on a laser-printer…ink-jet copies may smear.
Photographs of people work best.
–Portfolio Water Soluble Oil Pastels
(contact me if you need to know where to buy these). I will have several sets to share, if you can't find them.
–Also, students
need to
bring standard art journaling supplies–acrylic paints, brushes in
several
sizes, gesso, gel medium, pens for journaling.
–I will provide
watercolor
paper to work on. If you'd prefer to work in your personal art journal,
please
do!
