The sweet & talented Julie Kirk asked me to write a guest post over at The Copy and Paste Project blog. I met Julie online first, and then she took one of my workshops at Art from the Heart in the UK last Feb. The art she created was stunning!

Here's the post…it's about how being a docent affects my art.

I love to use repetition in my art journaling. When I find an image I like, or a motif, I use it over and over. I make it work for me, stretch it, alter it, experiment with it. Here are 3 pieces using the same silhouette, but each piece looks different, has its own meaning & feel.

Thanks to all who posted comments! 🙂 I used the Random Number Generator to pick a winner, and I have to say that site complains a lot less about doing it than my kids. lol!

Just FYI, I had a typo/error in the class listing for my May Creative Quest classes (thanks Jennifer for spotting that!). I fixed it…the Hardware Store Art Journaling class is Tuesday, May 11th from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.  Happy art-ing!
